From the Court Of Iris catalog, 1955: She was the daughter of Menelaus and Helen. Like practically everybody else of her time she was descended from Zeus. Orestes was her cousin. The flower is of creamy to pearly white with a flush of silver mulberry on the standards over which there is a purplish-black network. The falls have heavy veins and signal of dark maroon. Good breeder. Parentage not recorded. Very early. 22". $1.50. |

Parentage unknown. AIS Color Code: R2M (red ground with blue feathering). '76 CL: Medium red, blue-toned veined markings. Court of Iris: "Soft gray standards flushed silver-mulberry intricately veined purple-black; falls silver-white veined dark maroon; black signal patch."Rainbow: "VE-22". A novel bitone. Standards flushed silvery mulberry, intricately veined purplish black. Falls nearly white, with striking signal and heavy veins of dark maroon." Vallette: "S. silvery mulberry veined purplish black; F. silvery white, heavily veined maroon; black signal and beard." Van Tubergen, 1930. Notes: Counted as a 21-chromosome diploid, an RC in both systems; ASI '62 YB, p. 68, gives the pedigree as I korolkowii X Isusiana; AIS '39 CL notes name as not approved (already used for TB).
