1966, Brown

'Border Rose' ( Alta Brown, R. 1965). Seedling 59-46. BB, height 26" (66 cm), Late midseason bloom. Rosy mauve blend; lighter in center of falls, amber at haft; orange beard. 'Seafair Queen' X 'Mary Randall' seedling. Brown's Iris Garden 1966.

From AIS Bulletin #181 April 1966 Introducing BORDER ROSE (Seafair Queen x Mary Randall sdlg.) BB. 26". A rufHed and lacy blend of rose and mauve, lighter in the center of fluted flaring falls. Dainty and in good proportion. 15.00. Brown's Iris Garden.
