1971, Roach

Jade Parade' ( Lura Roach, R. 1970). Seedling #63-24. BB, 20-24" (51-61 cm). Late midseason bloom and rebloom. Standards greenish yellow (RHS 663/2); falls same with fine texture veins (663/3) radiating from mustard-brown beard; faint blush (0862/3) at hafts. 'Clancy' X Roach seedling #60-4E: ( 'Exotic Blue' x Roach seedling #56-29B: (( 'Char-Maize' x Marion Walker seedling #E 62: 'Alta California' x 'Indian Chief') x 'Lucre')). Riverbank 1971. High Commendation 1968; Honorable Mention 1972.

From AIS Bulletin #201 April 1971 Introducing JADE PARADE. Sdlg. 63-24. This border bearded chartreuse self, of broad flaring form, just misses the MTB classification, and is an arranger's delight. Falls have blush of fern-green at hafts, with fine texture veins radiating from mustard-brown beard. Blooms midseason. 20-24". HC '68. $20.00. Riverbank Gardens.
