1983, Boswell

'Lariat' ( Carl Boswell, R. 1982). Seedling #22D-76-2. BB, 23" (58 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards reddish brown; falls light blue-violet with 1/4" (0.6 cm) edge of reddish brown; yellow beard. (( 'Lilac Champagne' x 'Java Dove') x 'Little Lynn') X 'Brown Lasso'. Boswell Iris 1983. Honorable Mention 1985.

From AIS Bulletin #249 April 1983 Introducing LARIAT- BB, 23", Sdlg, 220-76-2. Has many of the good qualities of one of its parents, Brown Lasso, plus a personality of its own. S. reddish brown; F. light blue-violet with 1/4" edge of reddish brown; yellow beards. ((Lilac Champagne x Java Dove) x Little Lynn) X Brown Lasso. $15.00. Boswell Iris Garden.
