1962, Brizendine

'Little Reb' ( Mildred Brizendine, R. 1959). Seedling #MB-1-58. BB, 22" (56 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards deep violet; falls pure white stitched violet; violet hafts; bronze beard. 'Masked Ball' X ( 'Lilamani' x seedling #S-51) x Sass seedling #48-319 (plic). Brizendine 1962. High Commendation 1959, Sdlg. #MB1-58; Honorable Mention 1963; Judges' Choice 1963, 1964; Award of Merit 1966.

Little Reb (Mildred Brizendine). An outstanding addition to the border irises. The standards are purple, the falls white edged and stitched in purple. The branching is good and the blooms are truly in proportion to the size of the plant. Excellent substance. [AIS Bulletin #170, July 1963:43]
