'Maroon Bells' (Tom Magee, R. 1975). Seedling #7051. BB, 27" (69 cm). Midseason bloom. Ruffled dark red-violet self; brown hafts; bronze beard. Seedling #67113B: ('Bang' x 'Martel') X 'Swahili'. Wedow Iris 1976. Honorable Mention 1977, Judges' Choice 1977, 1978, Award of Merit 1979.

Dark red-violet self, brown haft; bronze beard; ruffled, domed standards; flaring, wide falls with enough ruffle to ring the bell! (Bang x Martel) X Swahilli. EC 1974. $12.00.
