'Marsh Magic' ( Leslie Donnell, R. 1983). Seedling #78-23-3. BB, 17 1/2" (44 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards reddish violet (RHS 80C) with yellow (163C) infusion; falls velvety grayed purple (183B), edged yellow (163C); orange beard. Seedling #76-31-2: ( 'Marshlander' x Blyth seedling) X seedling #76-6-2: (( 'Bon Vivant' x 'Panoramic') x 'Marshlander'). Tempo Two 1985/6.

From Tempo Two catalog, 1985: MARSH MAGIC (Donnell '85 Aust.) Border Bearded. M-ML. 22". This prettyIris from Les Donnell has had a good start in life by winning a special prize in the International Small Iris Competition in Australia. It is an overall variegata but with suffused colour. It is multi coloured in violet, ochre yellow and winered with the main colour being red. Yellow beards. Comes from the tallbearded Marshlight. $15.00.
