'Nautical Flag' (Paul Black, R. 1989). Seedling #8490C. BB. 26" (66 cm). Midseason bloom. Ruffled and laced violet blue; yellow beard; slight sweet fragrance. 'Chartreuse Ruffles' X 'Undersea Adventure'. Mid-America Gardens 1989. High Commendation 1988, Honorable Mention 1991.

From Mid-America Garden catalog, 1989: NAUTICAL FLAG - BB, 26" (66cm), Midseason. Waving proudly in the sun is this crisp blue flag. Standards and falls are medium blue with cream yellow beards. Flowers are tightly formed and well proportioned. Ruffles and lace grace its edges. Given a resounding thumbs up by convention goers. Sdlg. 8490C: Chartruese Ruffles X Undersea Adventure. HC 1988.
