'Pebbles' ( James Tucker, R. 1964). Seedling #955B. BB, 26" (66 cm). Late midseason bloom. Standards light blue flushed deeper blue; falls white, heavily pebbled blue. 'South Pacific' X 'Wide World'. Southern Meadows 1964.

Awards: High Commendation 1963; Honorable Mention 1965; Judges’ Choice 1966; Award of Merit 1968; Knowlton Medal 1970.

From Southern Meadows catalog, 1966: PEBBLES (J.Tucker '64) ML 26" Border iris. (South Pacific X Wide World). A perfectly proportioned border iris in every respect. A "reverse amoena" with standards light blue flushed much deeper. White falls are horizontal. Blooms well above the foliage making a beautiful clump. Blooms are persistent and retain their true color. Rhizomes are small but produce two or more bloomstalks. Arrangers will really find this superb. High Commendation 1963, HONORABLE MENTION 1965, Amrican Iris Society. $15,00
