'Perquisite' (Marky Smith, R. 2017). Seedling# 11-19B. BB, 24" (61 cm), Early to late bloom. Standards greyed orange (RHS 165B), golden brown tips; style arms similar and a bit darker (164A), brighter sides; F. shoulders golden brown (163C) becoming lighter near beard, distal edge is darker (163A) and veined, yellow center; beards bushy smoked orange (169A); ruffled; pronounced sweet fragrance. 'Banded Rose' X seedling# 06-16A: (seedling# 04-41B: ('Twilight Passage' x 'Procession') x 'Cut Above'). Salmon Creek 2017.

From Aitken’s catalog, 2017: PERQUISITE (BB) (M. Smith '17) BB 26” (66 cm) M. We speak of a perquisite as a perk, meaning a benefit; and this iris is definitely a perk for your garden with its warm colors and excellent growth and bloom. A “dark top,” the ruffled standards are rich chestnut brown at the tips, and show a violet infusion at the base. The falls are heavily ruffled and rimmed in smoky orange, with a lighter orange ground color. A large cream spot with a few longitudinal dark veins is centered under the vivid tangerine beards. Perfectly at home in it Border class. Sdlg. # 11-19B: (06-16 A: (04-41 B: (Courtesan sib x Cut Above) X 07-16 H: (Cut Above x Border Guard)). SKU: 17BB116.$25.00.
