1977, Keppel

'Picayune' (Keith Keppel, R. 1976). Seedling #68-19J. BB, 25" (64 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards quince yellow (M&P 11-L-3); falls oyster (10-B-1), banded quince yellow, hafts solidly peppered russet brown (14-I-12); yellow beard faintly tipped russet. Seedling #62-30C: ('Maricopa' x (Quadros seedling #57-193B: 'Surrender' x 'New Adventure')) X 'Montage'. Keppel 1977. Honorable Mention 1978; Judges' Choice 1978; Award of Merit 1980; Knowlton Medal 1982.
