(BB) 'Smile Awhile'
1959, Porreca 'Smile Awhile' ( Bert Porreca, R. 1958) Seedling #214. BB, 28" (71 cm). Early to late bloom. Very light lavender self; slight haft markings; light yellow beard. ( 'Snow Flurry' x 'Chivalry') selfed. The Iris Farm 1959. See below:

This is a border-type plant 28" high. It is a clear fragrant light lavender-blue with flaring deeply ruffled falls with lots of substance. Geddes Douglas believes this may prove useful for breeding ruffling into the border class. $10.00. The Iris Farm. |
