(BB) 'Spring Show'

1949, Milliken

'Spring Show' ( Carl S. Milliken, R. 1949) BB. Midseason bloom. Color Class-S9M. Parentage unknown.

From Milliken Gardens catalog, 1949: Very large with shaggy falls. Standards very light wine shaded with a network of chartreuse veining; the falls are a light russet-wine with a lavender-blue overlay, extending nearly to the edge of the falls. Our first thought on seeing this overlay was of a piece of beautiful changeable taffeta in the blue and lavender shades. This is indeed a very lovely flower, and whenever we had a stalk of this variety in our office this past season we were deluged with inquiries as to when it would be introduced. Medium height. $25.00
