The Gardeners' Chronicle p.78, July 19, 1879 Iris Kaempferi. Messrs. Barr & Sugden write under date of July 15 : It may interest your readers to know that our Iris Kaempferi have commenced flowering. From 200 to 300 plants are in bloom-bud, and these will produce from 1,000 to 2,000 flowers. At the present moment we have flowers out measuring 7 inches in diameter.
