1939 checklist states: "(E. Katherine Dykes ( -1933) England. Widow of the great Iris authority. She continued his work and raised many fine varieties of her own, among them, 'Joyance'; 'Gudrun' (Dykes Medal winners), TbZaharoon ]['Zaharoon']], 'Rhadi' and many others. She met her death in a railway accident while returning from the Chelsea Show. The Dykes varieties were later, some of them, introduced by Orpington, Wndward and Knap Hill, the latter listing many of them."
