| From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2007: ALBERTA CLIPPER - IB, 27" (69 cm), Midseason-Late. A cold, icy wind moves rapidly out of the Canadian plains and brings with it some snow, maybe a lot of snow and you've got an ALBERTA CLIPPER. This IB derived from the aphylla species and mixed chromosome breeding is a delight in every way. Well formed and ruffled icy blue-white flowers are carried on statuesque stalks with 3 branches and 8-11 buds. Slightly darker blue sanding and veining over the hafts hints at its plicata heritage. ALBERTA CLIPPER creates a spectacular display in an established clump as well as fantastic stalks for a show. It is breeding a wide range of BBs and IBs. Sdlg.
