(IB) 'Aureate'
1941, Gage
'Aureate' (
L. Merton Gage, R. 1941) IB. Midseason bloom. Color Code-Y4M. Tobie,
Gage(Sunnyside) 1941.
NOTE: Confusion about who hybridized this iris. 1949 Checklist says it was hybridized by Mabel Tobie. However, Gage's 1941(Sunnyside Gardens) catalog says that he hybridized it. Perhaps an error in the 1949 Checklist?
