COLLEEN (Sass-Thomas) Int., S. smoky crimson; F. crimson. Heavy yellow beard. Color, similar to Ambassadeur, with standards darker. $1.00. (Bird Haven Iris Gardens, 1932). It is assumed that Bird Haven was the introducer or co-introducer of 'Colleen' based on the nursery catalog entry and/or Mrs. Thomas was the selector of the seedling.
