1979, Palmer

'Confrontation' (Cleo Palmer, R. 1975) Seedling #7275. IB, 16" (41 cm). Early midseason bloom. Standards pale lavender; falls pale lavender overlaid tannish yellow, yellow hafts; orange beard tipped violet. Seedling #6952: (('Pierre Menard' x Shining Waters') x 'Sulina') x unknown) X 5th generation backcross of: ((unknown TB x I. balkana ) x unknown TB). Palmer, Riverdale Iris 1976. Honorable Mention 1979.
