From AIS Bulletin #265 April 1987 Introducing ELSIE CROUCH DILTZ (Mahan '87) IB, 24", E-L. Standards pale purple. Falls medium purple. Yellow beards. Pronounced sweet frangrance. Mutant form of Iris florentina and in all respects except color identical to that iris. This "purple florentina" produces rhizomes equally as good for making orris root as the bluish white form and is also, like the historic Iris florentina, sterile. Supply very limited. $25.00.
