'Helen Proctor' (Harley Briscoe, R. 1977). Seedling #71 42A. IB, 22" (56 cm), Early to midseason bloom. Standards violet-black (RHS 89B); falls black (202A); purple beard. 'Lou Brock' X 'Sable Robe'. Riverdale Iris 1978. Honorable Mention 1980.
