'Langport Flame' (Kelways, introduced but not registered)

This variety closely resembles 'Langport Magic' however, it is slightly different. The falls of 'Langport Flame' are wider at the throat and there seems to be less of a contrast in colour between the standards and falls. 'Langport Flame' is a self. 'Langport Claret' and 'Langport Wren' are also similar. See comparative image in the gallery

Kelways catalogue 1998: New for '98. Deep blood red self with most prominent golden orange beards. Looks exceptionaly good as a large clump. Ht. 56cm
Of note: It also appears in the 1980 catalogue, so the "new for '98" was presumably a re-introduciton. It does not appear in the 1970 catalogue
