'Lavengro' ( Arthur J. Bliss, 1921) IB. Early bloom. Color Class-S9M. 'Knysna' x unknown.

References:

From R. Wallace Co. catalog, 1922: LAVENGRO (Bliss, 1921). Of medium growth, but unique in colour. S of dark coppe-crimson. F richest red-maroon. A useful and pleasing variety on the lines of Prosper Laugicr; most attractive when seen in the evening light. 2ft. C VIII. 5/. each.
From Sam Carpenter Gardens catalog, 1927: LAVENGRO (Bliss) S. dark coppery-crimson; F. rich maroon. 'The color combination makes it distinctive. $1.00.
