This introduction is one of the best performers in the garden. A clump of Man's Best Friend is filled with flowers. Because of spacing and bloom sequence, it never appears crowded. Light slate violet standards have brassy gold midribs and texture veins shot upward. Strongly flared falls are rich medium red-brown with darker texture veins and are narrowly banded slate violet.
