'Morningstar Blues' (
J. Paul Hill, R. 2007). Seedling #3200 HI. IB, height 24" (61 cm). Early midseason bloom. Standards white ground heavily veined and dotted dark grape plicata markings; style arms dark grape, lighter on reverse, blue midrib extending into heart; falls white ground, soft yellow wash, 3/8" edge of dark purple-grape plicata veining and dotting, center line and dotting from beard to edge; beards medium cobalt blue tipped brown; round ruffled form.

From AIS Bulletin #349 April 2008 Introducing Morningstar Blues (P. Hill). Sdlg. 3200-HI. IB, 24" (61 cm), EM. S. white ground marked with dark grape plicata veining, dotting, and center stripe. F. white ground washed a light yellow that fades with time and dark grape plicata veining and dotting covering 3/8" edge all around; thin stripe of dark grape extends from beard to edge of falls. Beard an unusual coloring of medium cobalt blue tipped dark brown. Round ruffled petals and straight upright stalks with two branches and 5 buds. Best seedling at C&P spring show.
