Standards medium lilac, lower 1/3 of midrib heavily sanded and dotted medium violet, inside center white plicata marked medium lilac around edges; style arms medium violet edges, crests rose purple edged dark purple; falls light buff, dark purple plicata band and haft, medium purple plicata dots inside band, short purple dart at end of beard; beards dark orange in throat, medium orange in middle, light violet over white base at end; slight spicy fragrance. From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2011: OUTER EDGE (Black ‘11) IB Midseason 23” (58cm). Upright grape juice purple standards reveal red plum styles. Very round, palest pink white falls have dark red purple hafts changing to grape juice purple plicata bands. Short purple veins and sanding flank mid burnt orange beards ending in violet.
