From Glen Road Iris Gardens catalog, 1925: PEARL BLUE (1925) Smoothly rounded flowers of palest pearl blue borne on slender stalks in the utmost freedom. It is almost an Intermediate but continues to bloom well into the Tail Bearded season; 15 in. 1.00. |
From Glen Road Iris Gardens catalog, 1925--Comment by Grace Sturtevant: My brother brought this home from his trip last spring fully convinced that it will be of great value in the garden but the originator was unwilling to assume any responsibility. I am most interested in seeing what others will think. The plant is a rampant grower even though it has many of the characteristics of a Korolkowi hybrid and there is no doubt that our gardens need more effective varieties rather than more of the exhibition types. |
