From Sass catalog, 1937: SOUTHLAND (H. P. Sass, 1934)-Intermediate and fall bloomer. Color lemon chrome. Flowers large and of heavy substance. S domed; F flaring. Stems 24 inches, low branching. $2.50
SOUTHLAND is very rich in its golden yellow but it, too, is a shy bloomer here[Kansas] and most always blooms right down at the ground, seemingly without a stem.
