'Spring Cheddar' (Earl Roberts, R. 1974) Seedling #71R25. IB, 18" (46 cm). Early midseason bloom. Standards white, flushed gold at ribs; falls deep butter yellow; white crest tipped yellow; orange beard. 'Gleaming Gold' X 'Sing Along'. E. Roberts 1974. Honorable Mention 1976.

From AIS Bulletin #214 July 1974 Introducing SPRING CHEDDAR. 18", 71R25: (Gleaming Gold X Sing Along). S. strongly cupped, white flushed gold at hafts; rightly flaring F. deep butter yellow, solid color; white crests tipped yellow; orange beard. S. tend to open about the third day. This is a brilliant yellow amoena, fertile. $10.00. Roberts.
