Marky Smith, R. 2015) Seedling# 12-17B. IB, 25" (64 cm). Early midseason bloom. Standards goldenrod-strong yellow gold (RHS 163B); style arms, crests, and sides same, center rib smoked red-violet; falls darkest red toned black velvet (much blacker than 187A), pure black when fresh, pale gold feathers surrounding beard; beards spanish yellow (163B) becoming florida gold (163A) in throat; ruffled; pronounced spicy fragrance.
