'Tie Dyed Tyke' (Jim and Vicki Craig, R. 1993). Seedling #C16W27. IB, Height 21" (53 cm), Early to midseason bloom and rebloom. Standards blended light blue, center and base darker; falls blended medium blue, center and base darker; beards light yellow, light blue at end; pronounced sweet fragrance. Seedling #26T5: ((( 'En Route' x unknown) x unknown) x seedling #6H1: ('Sacred Mountain' x I. aphylla)) X seedling #1R21: (('Light Fantastic' x I. aphylla) x ('Star Child' x seedling #6H1)). From AIS Bulletin #289 April 1993 Introducing TIE DYED TYKE U. & V. Craig '93) IS, 21", EM & mid-summer. Blended tones of blue with standards lighter than falls. Petals are darkest near the midribs and in the heart of the flower. Light bronzy yellow beards. Stalks 2-3 branched with spur and up to 6 buds. Sweet fragrance. Unique and showy.
