From Keith Keppel Iris catalog, 2017: UNBROKEN PROMISE M 18” Intermediate Bearded (sport of Broken Promise) #05-10sport. Irises are extremely stable, but once in a while…. The original (Broken Promise) is a soft tan plicata on yellow ground, with small patches of pinkish violet where the yellow ground is broken. In this sport the yellow ground is missing, thus there is no broken pattern as there is no yellow ground to break! What is left is a very attractive lilac purple, greyed mauve, and aster violet plicata, the cream ground with a faint pinkish cast, and white-based flame beards. Same vigor as the original, about 4-5 buds. $20.00.
