■(IB) 'Waxen Image'
2002, Aitken
''Waxen Image' (
J. Terry Aitken, R. 2002). Seedling #92M67B. IB, Height 21" (53 cm). Late midseason bloom and occasional rebloom. Standards translucent soft yellow; falls translucent soft blue; beards white.
'Maui Surf' X
'Hey There'. Aitken 2002.
Terry says: "Marvelous proportions for an IB! The rigid petals appear to be carved from wax. Even the petal colors have the translucence of wax. Standards are a very soft translucent yellow and the falls are a very subtle translucent blue, a combination acquired from its MDB parent, 'Hey There.' Also acquired from 'Hey There' is the occasional rebloom tendency in summer. 4 or 5 buds."
From the 2022 Rebloom Checklist: Rebloom reported in: CA, NE, OH, WA, Netherlands. USDA Zones 5, 6, 8
