| From Marx Gardens catalog, 1962: ACCLAIM Each $7.50. The first heavily ruffled, with multiple tufted center, Marhigo in the red shade color group to be offered by us. The color might be described as deep rosy lavender somewhat similar to ROSE PRELUDE. The cluster of snowy white central petaloids with rose-purple tips sets the flower off to best advantage. Prominent white centers surround yellow signals. Blooms will average 8 inches in diameter and possess unusually fine substance. 4 feet. Pictured front cover. |
