'Capaneus' ( Sterling Innerst, R. 1987) Seedling 924-3. JI (6 falls diploid), 36" (91 cm), Midseason bloom. Ruffled deep velvety red, narrow light blue halo. 'Narihira' X 'Banners on Parade'. Ensata Gardens 1988. Honorable Mention 1990, Award of Merit 1995

From AIS Bulletin #269 April 1988 Introducing CAPANEUS (lnnerst 88) JI Sdlg. 924-3. Ruffled, deep velvety red self. Great form with extra petaloids; narrow light blue halo line around the signal. Best of the dark maroon-red doubles to come on the market. $35.00. Ensata Gardens.
