From Marx Gardens catalog, 1955: COURT JESTER (Marx 1953) Each $2.50 We selected this splendid iris from hundreds of brilliantly veined seedlings in 1950. A bizarre and striking flower that fairly glitters in the garden. Colors are comprised of a white ground veined deep blue with rich purple styles for contrast. Superior quality is attested by the clean color pattern, crisp flaring form and ideal three way branching. Fully double flowers that average 8 inches in diameter. Height 40 inches. Early to midseason.
