From Marx Gardens catalog, 1963: FRILLED ENCHANTMENT (Marx 1959) Each $7.50. We have closely observed this fascinating Marhigo iris and honestly believe it is one of the loveliest things ever to appear among the countless thousands of seedlings that bloom here annually. Its freshness and charm seem to grow on us each year. Similar to one of its parents, Kurume-Dome, but definitely superior in all respects. The flowers are 1/4 larger, more ruffled, with a sharper and cleaner color pattern. The clear white flower with narrow borders of bright rose red is without doubt the best we have yet produced in its color class. Branched stems usually bear 4 flowers on 3-1/2-foot stems. Midseason.
