From AIS Bulletin #272 January 1989 Introducing KATY MENDEZ: JM 83/121(1): Diploid, 6 falls, M-L. This delightful intermediate with 5" flowers on 28" scapes is named after our granddaughter. We had considered as the name either Striking Brunette or Saucy Miss and Katy epitomizes both! Color is medium violet (RHS-88D) with dark veins (88A) and contrasting dark violet-blue styles (89A). Striking and lovely. $25. Seaways Gardens. |
