From Gordon Ainsley Nursery catalog, 1928: LA FAVORITE. Large, fine white freely veined blue, and a rich purple center. .40 each;doz. $4.00.
From Wayside Gardens catalog, 1954: La Favorite Each 70c, Three $1.70, Doz. $5.SO. Soft icy blue double, purple styles. Distinctive veining, straight dark lines. A narrow edging of rich purple at the center.
From Flowerfield Bulb Farm catalog 1955: LA FAVORITE. A double large white bloom of imposing beauty. Both the falls and standards are held horizontally with edges deeply ruffled. Pale blue veins radiate from the yellow signal patches, enhancing the whiteness of the bloom. White styles veined with blue are firm textured and upright on the crown. Height 15 inches. Bloom in earlv midseason. Three $2.00, Doz. $6.75.
