■(JI) 'Nobori-Ryu'
1994, Society for Japanese Irises
'Nobori Ryu' (Society for Japanese Irises, R. 1994) JI (9 F.), 30" (76 cm), Midseason bloom. Pale violet (RHS 85D) ground with deep purple (89C) veins, yellow signals; stigmas normal, but anthers converted to 3 inner petals with no pollen. Old Edo variety; parentage and hybridizer unknown. Introduced in Japan prior to 1930.
