From Melrose Gardens catalog, 1965: PURELY ORNAMENTAL (Fred Maddocks) 36" double. The styles at the center of this perfectly formed medium sized flower are violet. The petals are silvery lavender distinctly but lightly veined violet to the edges of the petals. At the tips of each of the six wide and fluted petals are bright splashes of rose purple. $10.00 |
From Tempo Two AU catalog, 1974: PURELY ORNAMENTAL (Maddocks'66 USA) Double. Mid-Late. The styles at the centre of each medium size bloom are the first things that catch the eye. They are rich purple with white tips. Petals are silvery lavender lightly veined violet to the edges of each petal. At the tips of each of the six petals are bright splashes of rose purple.
