'Tropic Showers' ( Currier McEwen, R. 1979) Sdlg. 73/19(1). JI (6-petal), 28" (71 cm), Midseason late bloom. Medium blue-violet (RHS 88A to 89C), heavily marbled with irregular streaking of 88D; white styles tipped medium blue-violet; golden signal. 'Star At Midnight' X 63/6Z: (Hirao seedling x Hirao seedling). McEwen 1979. Honorable Mention 1982.
