From Marx Gardens catalog, 1962: VALIANT PRINCE (Marx 1959) Each $4.00. Rich rose red flower of exceptional fine form and just enough ruffling for most graceful outline. Not a self, as the central portion is white, finely netted red with styles similarly marked. Large 8 inch flowers come early in the season on 4 foot stems. A beautiful cut flower that attracted lots of attention at our flower shows. Picture page 7. |
