'Warai-Hotei' (Walter Marx, R. 1956) Import. JI. Late bloom. Double. Light blue veined darker. Translation: Jovial God of Fortune. Marx 1956.Note: 1939 Checklist shows Sakata Nurseries, Japan, 1915, as originator. Color Class 4BL. Same translation. (Registered by Chad Harris, 2022, R. 2022) JI (6 F.), 38" (97 cm), Late bloom. Style arms and crests very dark black-purple (RHS 83A), tufted; F. mid blue-violet (90A), darker veins, gold-yellow signal; Edo style, flaring form. Parentage unknown. Kotakaen in Japan, before 1910.
