From Fairmount Gardens catalog, 1942: WOODROSE (Nesmith 1937) Sgl. Large falls of pinkish mauve frosted with iridescent blue. Purple lines radiating from blue halo which surrounds a large yellow signal. Standards are pink, and the styles deep rose-purple. A beautiful new iris. $4.00
