'Yae Katsumi' (
Society for Japanese Irises, R. 1995) JI, 33" (85 cm), Late bloom. Standards very small, deep red violet; Falls white ground, heavily sanded red violet; extra petals (same color as Falls) inside Standards to give "hose in hose" form. Parentage and hybridizer unknown. Introduced in Japan prior to 1910.
