From Milliken Iris Gardens catalog, 1948: BAYOU VERMILION This is the most brilliant red iris which we have seen, a velvety rich crimson with a "crest" composed of three lines of gold. The flowers spread about 6 inches. Height about l-1/2 feet. Stock limited. $15.00.
