Prof. Nelson's brilliant red is an example of the recent developments among these iris. The deep black cherry red flowers of giganticaerulea form have broad sepals with a velvety sheen and excellent substance. They are brilliant in the sun and seem to prefer a sunny location for growth. One of the few non-fading varieties. 36". $3.50.
