From Sidney Conger Louisiana Iris catalog, 1951: HAILE SELASSIE (Coll., McMillan). One stem of Haile frequently will have three and sometimes four deep red-violet flowers open at a time. This natural hybrid was found where the Abbeville Reds meet I. foliosa. The flower form is that of the "Abbes". This iris has consistantly given forth excellent and interesting prodigy. $.75. |
