1990, Haymon

'Kitty D' ( Dorman Haymon, R. 1989). Seedling 15-84-3. LA, 32" (81 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards light violet (RHS 83B fading to 83D), occasional white blotching; cream styles tipped lavender; Falls light violet (83B), random white blotching, yellow gold steeple signal; slight fragrance. 'Valera' X 'Charjoy's Jan'. Deep South Garden 1990.

From AIS Bulletin #277 April 1990 Introducing KITTY D-A very large violet flower with flared form almost that of a tall bearded. It has random white spots on standards and falls, large steeple signals on falls and slight signals on standards. Wonderful show zig-zag stalks with branching from the ground up. 7-1/2" blossom, 32" stalks which are very strong. (Valera X Charjoy's Jan). $30.00. Deep South Garden.
